Translation Source Named to Houston Fast 100!
August 14, 2013
WOW!! Two major honors in about 2 weeks – the awards just keep on coming! First, it was our 2nd consecutive appearance on the Hispanic 500 – now, we’ve learned that we earned a spot on the Houston Fast 100! Right now, we don’t know what place we’re in; that’ll all be revealed at the awards banquet on September 6th. (If you want to know how the Houston Business Journal reported it, click here to their article.
Yes, we’re pleased… we’re excited… and we’re humbled by the fact that our clients are responsible for Translation Source earning these honors. Both of these awards are directly related to annual sales growth. The overwhelming majority of our new business comes via referral from existing clients, and we thank them for their confidence in our performance and our ability to live up to our promises to them.
In thinking about these two awards, however, we came to the conclusion that we must be doing something really right to create that level of client trust – after all, would you recommend someone/something to a friend /supervisor/colleague in another company that you didn’t have full confidence in? (In the business world, a bad recommendation can do some very nasty things to your career path.) We feel that our business model works well. We discuss each project in depth with our clients before we begin… we utilize only the finest native-speaking human, subject-matter-expert, fulltime professional translators… we make sure that each translation project goes through the translator–editor–proofreader cycle, using these same highly-qualified linguists… we allow encourage our clients to speak directly with our project managers… we work in over 100 languages, and deliver finished content to locations around the world… we specialize in technical translation, especially to the energy industry… There are probably a lot of other things our clients value in the relationship that we don’t realize, but we know that the items we mentioned above are significant. We plan to continue doing the same things, in the same manner – if it ain’t broke, etc. (That said, we’re always open to suggestions from our clients as to how to make the relationship better and the process smoother.)
Now, the ‘commercial’: if you feel the slightest hesitation about recommending your current translation company to another person (whether inside your company or outside it), call Tim Taggart at (713) 465-0225, or send him an email at email@example.com. The call won’t cost you a thing, and might even result in you becoming part of our success story (and making yourself look good, in the process)!
